That time I won an essay competition.
In 1990 the newspaper The Glasgow Herald ran an essay competition in conjunction with Whitbread Brewery and the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
Entrants were to write their interpretation of “Glasgow 2000”; I was awarded joint winner with my essay based on a theme of an entrance paper to further education.
